Mickey O'Brien. I help agents get known.

I help agents get known with YouTube and AI, so the right people hear your name before they need you.

I'm not a top-producing realtor. I've done about six real estate deals. I spent 14 years building a national business without cold calling, through videos and teaching. That's what I'll actually help you with.

How it works

Get known

Make helpful videos that answer what your clients already ask. The main work is a longer video that actually helps someone. Short clips are for seeing if a topic has interest, and for pointing people back to that longer video.

Follow through

Every inquiry gets a next step, so good people don't go cold.

Choose wisely

If you're thinking about eXp, get straight answers before you decide. That conversation is separate, and it is never the price of getting help with video.

Not sure where to start?

Bring what your clients already ask you, and how you show up online today. We'll pick one useful video to make first.

Why talk to me

I'm not going to coach you on listings and hard negotiations. I've done about six real estate deals. I was in finance, and I did not do a lot of real estate.

Here is what I am good at. I spent 14 years building a national business without cold calling. People found me through YouTube videos and conference talks.

That's a business lesson, not a promise about your results.

I joined eXp years ago as one of Brent Gove's first agents. Then I left. I came back because I found a way to do this without being pushy. I don't chase anybody. If you want to talk, you book the time.

I host Sacramento Real Talk.

Is this you?

Most agents I talk to say some version of this.

Leads feel thin.

Agents in 2026 named a lack of qualified leads and low inventory as their top two problems.

Costs keep climbing.

NAR's 2026 member profile shows median business expenses up to $9,530, from $8,010.

Fewer homes are selling.

Existing-home sales near 4 million a year, the lowest since 1995, with affordability the top thing holding clients back.

Buyer-side pay is shakier.

34% of agents say buyer commission is their biggest strain since the NAR settlement.

For most agents, the best business still comes from referrals and repeat clients. So the real question is how more people hear your name before they need you.

Thinking about eXp?

Here's how I keep it honest. There are three different things, and I keep them apart.

What eXp provides

The brokerage, its split, tools and training. Get the current numbers from eXp itself.

eXp income and fees

What our sponsor group offers

Brent Gove's events and trainings, and Alex Dyer's BoldTrail help.

What I share with any agent

My videos and my show. You get these even if you never join eXp, and they are never a reward for picking me as sponsor.

Any producing agent, any brokerage, any state. Tell us how you're winning in this market and we'll put it on Sacramento Real Talk.

No pitch. You don't have to join anything.

Questions agents ask me

Isn't eXp an MLM?

I asked the same thing. Nobody buys product here and nobody pays the people above them. Revenue share is paid out of eXp's company dollar, not out of your commission. You can sell houses for years and never bring in one agent.

Do I have to recruit?

No. Most agents just sell real estate. Revenue share is optional, for people who like helping other agents.

What does it cost?

eXp publishes its split and fees on its own pages, and they change from time to time. So I send you to the source instead of a table that could be old: exprealty.com/income. Bring your last 12 months to a conversation about getting known and we'll look at it side by side.

What about my listings and pendings?

Listings belong to your current broker, so the move gets planned around your closings. The exact steps for your state and situation come from eXp onboarding. I'll help you write the list of questions.

There's no office. Where do I meet clients?

Most agents I know work from the car and the kitchen table. Locally, there is an eXp hub in the Sacramento area. Ask me about access rules for your area.

I like my broker. Why would I leave?

Maybe you shouldn't. Ask yourself what your broker does each month that you'd miss. If it's a lot, stay. If it's mostly a desk and a logo, it's worth an hour to compare.

What costs should I compare before joining eXp?

Ask for the current fee schedule for your location. Compare startup and recurring fees, split and cap terms, transaction charges, and any team or mentor arrangements. Add your own business costs. A cap alone doesn't tell you your total cost. Read eXp's official costs and income disclosure, and confirm terms with eXp before you count on them.

What should I ask about an eXp sponsor?

Ask eXp how sponsor selection works, when you have to name one, and what the current policy allows. Get the scope and cost of any support in writing. Education that's open to every eXp agent isn't a sponsor perk. See eXp's sponsorship and compliance guidance.

Should revenue share decide if I join?

No. Decide if the brokerage fits your production business first. eXp describes revenue share as performance based and not guaranteed. Read the official income disclosure instead of a projection.

Is your YouTube coaching tied to joining eXp?

No. Coaching is separate and works at any brokerage. It's never offered as a reason to join eXp or to pick me as a sponsor. This page is about getting known with YouTube and AI. The brokerage conversation is available if you want it, and it is never the price of getting help with video.

Editorial review: November 1, 2026. Confirm current brokerage terms directly with eXp. This page doesn't replace your broker's agreements or instructions.

A conversation about getting known

Bring what your clients already ask you, and how you show up online today. We'll talk about YouTube, AI, and building a name people remember.

If you're also thinking about eXp, we can cover that. It is not the reason for the call.

We'll look at where you are now, and who you want to be known by. Then we'll pick one useful video topic and a simple way to follow up when someone writes you. You leave with a clear next step. If I'm not the right help, I'll say so.
