Should I leave my brokerage? 7 questions to ask first

Ask these before you talk to anyone pitching a brokerage, including me.

• What did I pay my broker last year in total, all fees in?
• Which part of their help did I actually use each week?
• Where did my last 10 clients come from?
• Who will help me get more of those?
• What happens to my listings and pendings if I move?
• How long would the move take, and when is the quiet window?
• If I stay, what will I do differently next year?
