Private coaching for established business owners. I help you choose useful video topics, explain what you sell, and give interested viewers a clear next step โ drawing on my experience running Laid Back Cycles.
Book a 20-Minute Fit Call30-Day Private YouTube Coaching โ $3,000 upfront. Details below. If it isn't a fit, I'll tell you on the call.
The offer
Four weeks. One private call a week. You leave with a clear message, four buyer-focused video outlines, and a next step that turns interested viewers into sales conversations.
You handle recording, editing, and publishing. No software installation, no video production, and no guaranteed views, leads, or sales.
Who I work with
The category matters less than whether these things are true.
I've coached and built systems for owners across specialty retail, mortgage, insurance, construction and coaching companies โ some as recently as a few years ago, some going back decades. Over a thousand business owners assessed and coached. The common thread was always the same: high-ticket, trust-driven sales where the owner is the expert and the system around them isn't keeping up.
How I work
Most owners can already explain their business face to face. This coaching gets that same explanation on camera โ where buyers do their research before they ever call.
This is coaching, not production. You record, edit, and publish. I make sure what you publish is worth a buyer's time.
I'm not new to helping business owners
Sixteen years ago I was running three-day growth bootcamps for financial advisors, realtors, authors and speakers โ lead generation, sales process, how to actually build a book of business. I've taken more than a thousand business owners through DISC and values assessments and coached them on what to do with the results. I trained and certified through TTI, the assessment company behind the DISC and motivators instruments.
For the last five years I've run 90-day masterclasses for business owners: the one-page business plan, website strategy, the lead capture and follow-up system, sales process and scripts, profitability and gross margin, marketing, branding, social media. Homework every week โ and I checked it.
And for the last decade I've been doing it for myself, in a shop, with a P&L and a payroll.
I'm not presenting theory from a classroom. I still own and operate a seven-figure brick-and-mortar specialty business selling an unfamiliar, high-consideration product most people have never heard of, in an industry with margins that would make you laugh.
I built it to seven figures. A YouTube channel of about fifteen thousand subscribers did most of the heavy lifting: it educated buyers, built trust, and made the sales conversation dramatically easier. People flew in from other states to buy in person, because they'd been watching me for a year before they ever called.
Three hundred videos and about a million views a year later, the shape of the business changed. A few years ago 95% of my sales were local. Today nearly 40% ship nationwide โ to people who decided before they ever spoke to me.
I still run Google and Facebook ads. Ads generate traffic that still has to be sold. Educational video helps buyers pre-sell themselves โ and that difference is the whole thesis of this coaching.
Fifteen thousand subscribers was never the point. What mattered was who they were and what they did next.
Most of this is blocking and tackling. Run the basics better than your market runs them and you win most weeks. Then once in a while you run the play nobody sees coming โ right now that's what AI does inside a small business, and I build it in mine before I'll put it in yours.
What I'm building now
This is not a demo. It ran this morning, before the shop opened.
YouTube, website chat, the booking calendar, the phone, Facebook, walk-ins, waivers, forms โ fourteen lead pipelines, all landing in one place. Every lead becomes a card with an owner, a next action and a date. A lead isn't real until it has all three.
Every order runs a seventeen-step lifecycle: deposit, factory order, shipping, delivery, and a fourteen-day satisfaction call. It's done when the customer is checked in and happy, not when the freight leaves.
At 7am each person gets exactly three named follow-ups with deadlines. Another engine reads both mailboxes, verifies every order against the supplier's own emails, and drafts every chase and every customer update. A human sends all of it. The AI never sends. An evening engine checks whether the morning's calls actually happened.
A deposit with no factory order inside 48 hours starts a clock. Money in with nothing confirmed goes to the top of the morning report. Every promise made to a customer or a supplier sits on a daily list with a day count until it's kept โ because response is not resolution. Four questions asked and one answered is three still open.
Here's what it caught in my own shop:
Those are totals to date, not a live counter.
Doing this with people means hiring somebody at fifty to seventy thousand a year โ and then my small business isn't profitable any more.
My memory holds about five things. AI holds millions. The machine does the remembering. I do the one thing it can't โ be the expert my customers trust.
Every fault goes into a written ledger with a guard added for it โ including the AI's own mistakes. Two AIs cross-check each other. My son caught one of their errors on a website and told me about it in all caps. That register isn't an embarrassment I keep quiet. It's the method.
I'm fifty-six. I own the building my shop sits in, I've got three people who count on me to make payroll, and I'm carrying over a million dollars in debt with about ten years left to clear it.
That's not a confession and it's not a humblebrag. It's just where I actually am. I'm not writing to you from the far side of this, mortgage burned and boat bought. I'm mid-road.
The engine I built, the videos, the follow-up system โ that's not a victory lap. It's how a guy with real debt and real payroll and a decade of road left keeps the thing moving and pointed uphill.
I'm in the car with you, going the same speed, looking at the same road.
In my own shop I help people keep moving and stay stronger for longer. This is the same job โ I help businesses keep moving, get stronger, and live longer.
Thirty years of coaching business owners. Over a thousand assessed and coached โ mortgage brokers, insurance companies, construction firms, specialty retail, coaching businesses. Sixteen years ago I was running three-day growth bootcamps for financial advisors and realtors. I've been doing this my entire career.
What's new is the format โ private, one-on-one coaching on using YouTube in your own business, rather than teaching it in a classroom. I built the channel in my own shop first: about 15,000 subscribers, roughly a million views a year, and a business that went from 95% local to nearly 40% shipping nationwide. My earlier coaching work was under privacy terms and in other industries, so I'm not going to dress it up as proof of this.
What I will do is tell you on the fit call whether this makes sense for your business. If it doesn't, you'll hear that from me first.
Next step
Twenty minutes on the phone. I'll ask what you sell, who buys it, and where video fits. Then I'll tell you whether the 30-day coaching makes sense for you โ and if it doesn't, what I'd do instead.
Book a 20-Minute Fit CallNo pitch on the call. If it isn't a fit, you'll have lost twenty minutes and gained a second opinion.
